Special Report Letter

September 15, 2001

Ms.Chelo May Agbu
Director of Administrative Services
Pilar State University

Dear Ms. Agbu:

The subject of this report are the five (5) comfort rooms at the PSU Campus, three for the male campus populace and two for the female users.
Of the five comfort rooms, only one has presentable tile walls and toilet bowls.  The rest have walls, toilet bowls and lavatories which could be best described as far from being sanitary, despite serious efforts to thoroughly clean and sanitize them.

All rooms have age-old floor tiles which would easily discourage users from entering the rooms.  No amount of effort and tile cleaners could make them look clean and tidy because of the water masks and other stains which have permanently defaced the floorings.

The doors of the individual cubicles at the female comfort rooms are now damaged – such that female users feel very much unsecured while urinating or doing their thing while inside the cubicle.

The sad state of our comfort rooms at PSU Campus brings disgrace to the good image of our campus which are trying to maintain. It could also cause urinary and kidney diseases to our campus populace who would rather defer their urge to urinate whenever they see the unsanitary appearance of the urinals and toilet bowls at the comfort rooms.

Pictures are hereby enclosed to give us a concrete view of the subject of this report.

Sincerely yours,
Joanna delos Reyes
College Nurse
