Secretary Sample Resignation Letter

Dear Ms. Herrera:

Very regretfully do I tender my resignation as a Secretary of Santana Home Owner Association.

In the spirit of interest in the association and what it is trying to accomplish, I applied for secretary position two years ago but, owing to so many demands on my time – day and evening.  I have found it possible to attend only one meeting during these two years.

It seems to me that I am contributing nothing to the work of the association and ought, therefore, to resign.  Will you please accept my resignation effective March 21, 2002?
