Application Letter – Summer Job

May 12, 2004

Tagle Builders
Balanga City, Bataan

Dear Sir/Madam:

Through Engr. Eddie dela Riva who works for your construction firm, I learned that you are hiring a number of additional college students for summer work.  I would like to apply for a job as general construction worker.

I am 18 years old, 5 feet and 11 inches tall and weigh 160 pounds.  I am in excellent health and am able to do strenuous physical work.  In high school, I was a member of our school’ basketball team.  As a sophomore civil engineering student at Bataan Heroes Memorial College, I want to get as much experience in construction work so as to prepare me for my future profession.

I understand that your company specializes in the construction of apartment buildings.  Since apartment design has been particularly appealing to me, I am very much interested to work for your company.  May I come for an interview at your earliest convenience?

I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you very much.

Very truly yours,

Garry Estrada

Application Letter – Computer Science Instructor

May 05, 1993

Dr. Jenneth Nanasca
Dean of Computer Science Department
Pilar State University

Dear Madam;

I was informed that your good department is in need of Computer Science instructor.  Being a Computer Information Science graduate and Master’s Degree holder from Pilar State University, I would like to apply for the said position.

I previously held a similar position at East Asia Computer College, but because of location constraint, I have decided to resign.  It would be more practical for me if I would be employed at the Pilar State University since I am residing along its vicinity.

An interview at your most convenient time will be a great favor for me.  Enclosed with this letter is my resume.  Shall the need for further details at my personal background arise, I am more than willing to mail them to you upon your request.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Josephine dela Cruz
