Dear Dr. Santiago:
The unprecedented increase in the enrollment of the university will undoubtedly necessitate the creation of new position for Japanese instructors to take charge of additional classes. Should this occasion arise, please consider me an applicant for the position.
In 1998, I finished a full, four year college course I the University of East Asia, this city, having made education my special study. At the Graduate School of the same university, I secured a thoro training in Japanese, in addition to my major studies – General Science – and in 1995, I was conferred the degree of Master of Arts. I have already spent two years in the preparation of my PhD.
From 1999 to the present, I have been employed as instructor in Japanese by the universities of Santo Tomas and National respectively, having entered their employ shortly after my graduation. I am at present teaching Japanese Grammar and Composition, and Commercial Correspondence in the vocational high school of these universities.
Tho I am enjoying very much my work, I should like to change because I am desirous of entering a larger, broader field, where I could get more experience, and thus be permanently attached to the institution.
I am a Filipina, Roman Catholic, twenty nine years old, single, and in good health.
Should you desire references, I shall be glad to furnish them.
