Dear Client:
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will be implementing new procedures on check clearing starting on January 24, 2011. Under BSP Circular No. 681 re: Revised Checking Clearing and Settlement Processes, checks with insufficient funds shall be dishonored and returned not later than 7:30 AM on the clearing day following the original date of presentation.

Dear Mrs. Romualdez:
I have received today a letter from you citing that I owed an amount of Php8,000 (Eight thousand pesos).
I request you to kindly re-check your books because I had paid the said amount last February 25, 2007 by cash, the receipt of which I am enclosing for your perusal. I think it is just a human error.
Kindly correct your statement of accounts and the dues standing in my name.
Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Gillian Melinda
Dear Sir/Madame:
Enclosed is your temporary eCard which serves as your GSIS ID and ATM card. Should you wish to avail of a loan, you may file your application over the counter in any of our GSIS offices/branches. Once approved, the proceeds of your loan will be credited to the said temporary eCard.
As a temporary eCard, it has savings account, fund transfer and bills payment features. Compared to the usual UMID card, this temporary ATM card:
- Has NO biometrics facility, hence it cannot be used for kiosk transactions such as loan availment and viewing of membership records;
- Cannot be used to avail of the Php10,000 cash advance.
With this temporary eCard, you will be entitled to the discounts extended to GSIS cardholders for selected Pfizer medicines and tertiary education with STI schools nationwide. It has also a Debit facility through Megalink network. Once registered in the GSIS website, you can also use your temporary eCard to monitor status of your loan and request for Statement of Member’s Account (SOMA).
Should there be any information in the card that needs to be updated or corrected, please fill out the enclosed form and submit the same to any of the nearest GSIS office.
We will replace your temporary eCard once our partner-agency has completed its technology upgrade.
Should you have any query or need any clarification, we will be more than happy to respond through our hotline number (02) 479-3645.
Thank you.
